Type — mains WiFi stereo speaker
A compact mains-powered WiFi speaker (stereo, not Atmos — that is the Era 300). Streams over WiFi via the Sonos app, plus Bluetooth and a USB-C line-in with an adapter. A pair can be rear surrounds for a soundbar.
WiFi-first
Primarily WiFi through the Sonos app; a missing speaker is usually a network issue. Bluetooth is a secondary direct option.
Stereo pairing
Two Era 100s can be grouped as a stereo pair (one left, one right) — if only one plays, check the pair grouping in the app before suspecting a fault.

Questions that only have an answer for the Sonos Era 100 speaker

Each answer below uses this model’s own published figures. The same question asked about a different model in the line has a different answer, which is why it is answered here rather than on a general page.

Only one of my paired Sonos Era 100s is playing.+

When two are bonded as a stereo pair, one plays the left channel and the other the right, so a mono source or one speaker dropping off WiFi leaves a single side. Check both are grouped as a stereo pair and online in the Sonos app, and test with a stereo track. If one keeps disappearing, it is a WiFi/network issue for that unit rather than a speaker fault.
