The XPS 14 has two GPUs — the power-saving integrated one and (if equipped) the discrete NVIDIA one — and Windows may be running the app on the integrated GPU to save battery. Force the app to the high-performance GPU in Windows Settings › System › Display › Graphics (add the app, set 'High performance'), or in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
