My HP Pavilion Plus 14 OLED screen shows faint image retention.+
OLED panels can show temporary image retention (a faint ghost of a static element like a taskbar) that clears on its own — it is usually not permanent burn-in. To minimise it, enable Windows' dark mode, auto-hide the taskbar, use a screen saver/short sleep timer, and let HP's or Windows' OLED care features run (pixel refresh). Permanent burn-in takes very prolonged static content. Occasional temporary retention is normal OLED behaviour, not a fault.
