Speed drops with distance on any router, and the AX55 is a value dual-band unit — so a far room being slow is coverage, not a fault. The 5 GHz band is fast but short-range; the 2.4 GHz band reaches farther but is slower, so distant devices may do better on 2.4 GHz. Place the router central and high, and for consistent whole-home speed add a mesh node (OneMesh) or a Deco system rather than relying on one router.
