My TP-Link Deco X55 mesh feels slower on the satellite nodes.+
The X55 is dual-band, so it shares the 5 GHz band between your devices and the node-to-node backhaul — which means devices on a satellite can be slower than on the main unit, especially if the satellite is far away. Keep satellites within a room or two of each other, and for the best speed connect them with Ethernet (wired backhaul), which frees the 5 GHz band entirely for your devices. Tri-band Decos avoid this by using a separate backhaul band.
