Which units this covers, and how to tell yours is one of them

Every answer below is scoped to these model identifiers. A neighbouring model in the same line can use a different part, a different reset sequence or a different radio, so matching the identifier before following a procedure is the step that decides whether the rest of the page applies to you.

Published specification

What is true of this model and changes how you fix it

These are the properties that decide which procedure applies. Each is read from the manufacturer’s own published figures for this model, not carried over from a sibling that shares its retail name.

Power — HARDWIRED (no battery)
The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is HARDWIRED to mains power (it replaces or connects to existing floodlight wiring) — it has NO battery, so charging/runtime symptoms do not apply. A dead unit is a wiring/power problem (breaker, junction box wiring), and it must be installed to a hardwired location, ideally by an electrician.
Floodlights + 3D Motion + siren
Bright motion-activated LED floodlights, radar-assisted 3D Motion Detection, and a siren. Lights not triggering is usually the motion settings/zones or the light schedule, not a fault.
Dual-band Wi-Fi + Ring Protect
Supports 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Recorded video history needs a Ring Protect subscription; live view and alerts are free.
Power path
Permanently wired to household mains. Any work at the supply end is mains work, and isolating at the breaker is required before the fixture is opened.
Wi-Fi
Joins on 2.4 GHz. A phone on 5 GHz cannot hand credentials to it reliably during setup, and a router that steers clients between bands under one network name will produce intermittent joins that look like a hardware fault.
Siting
Rated for outdoor installation. Water ingress at the cable entry, corrosion at the contacts and temperature at the extremes of the rated range all present first as intermittent electrical faults, not as visible damage.
Service tier
Some capabilities are subscription-gated. A feature that stops working on a date with no other change is worth checking against the plan's renewal before it is treated as a fault.

Questions that only have an answer for the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro

Each answer below uses this model’s own published figures. The same question asked about a different model in the line has a different answer, which is why it is answered here rather than on a general page.

The floodlights on my Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro aren't turning on.+

Check the light settings first: in the Ring app, confirm the motion-activated lights are enabled, the motion zones/sensitivity cover the area, and any light schedule (e.g. only at night) is not preventing them — many 'lights won't come on' cases are settings or a daytime schedule. Because it is hardwired (no battery), also confirm it has mains power at the junction box and the breaker is on. You can manually toggle the lights in the app to test them.

Structured depth, not empty permutations

Every published record carries a direct answer, scope, ordered fixes, risk notes and sources.

Device and manufacturer hubs share a consistent record system, but each answer carries the relevant controls, fault boundaries, consequences and official support entry point for that platform.
