What is the Stick Up Cam Battery's field of view?+

130° diagonal, 110° horizontal and 57° vertical. The vertical figure is the one that catches people out — it is about a third of the 150° vertical view on Ring's Head-to-Toe doorbells, so this camera has to be aimed far more precisely, and a small tilt costs a large part of the scene.

Why is the picture lower quality than my Ring doorbell?+

It records 1080p where the Head-to-Toe doorbells record 1536p. That is a specification difference rather than a fault, and it is worth knowing before spending time trying to configure the two to match.

Can I charge it without taking the camera down?+

Yes. It uses a Quick-Release Battery Pack, so the pack comes out and the camera stays mounted and aimed. Re-aiming after a charge is one of the quieter causes of 'it stopped detecting' — with a removable pack, that does not arise.

Can the Stick Up Cam Battery be used outside?+

Yes, it is rated for indoor and outdoor use, weather resistant, from −20°C to 50°C. Cold at the bottom of that range reduces usable capacity substantially, so outdoor winter runtime is not comparable to indoor runtime.

Does it support 5 GHz Wi-Fi?+

No — 802.11 b/g/n at 2.4 GHz only. A phone joined to a 5 GHz network cannot hand it credentials during setup, which is the single most common reason setup fails on this camera.

It used to cover the driveway and now it does not.+

Check whether it has been moved. This model has an integrated adjustable base and can sit freestanding, so it is one of the few Ring cameras that can be nudged out of alignment by someone cleaning around it — with no indication in the app that the view has changed.
