Which units this covers, and how to tell yours is one of them
Every answer below is scoped to these model identifiers. A neighbouring model in the same line can use a different part, a different reset sequence or a different radio, so matching the identifier before following a procedure is the step that decides whether the rest of the page applies to you.

What is true of this model and changes how you fix it
These are the properties that decide which procedure applies. Each is read from the manufacturer’s own published figures for this model, not carried over from a sibling that shares its retail name.
- Panel — entry direct-lit LED (no QLED, no Mini-LED)
- The A7N is Hisense's budget tier: a direct-lit LED LCD with no quantum-dot QLED layer and no local dimming. Blacks are grey in a dark room and uniformity is more visible; that is the tier, not a defect. It does support Dolby Vision, but the panel is not bright enough to show much HDR impact.
- Smart platform — Google TV
- Google TV. Update at Settings › System › About › System update; Chromecast built-in. Not a Roku TV.
- Refresh — 60Hz
- Native 60 Hz with Game Mode Plus but no 4K 120 Hz or VRR. Good for everyday streaming; not a high-refresh gaming TV.

Questions that only have an answer for the Hisense A7N 4K TV
Each answer below uses this model’s own published figures. The same question asked about a different model in the line has a different answer, which is why it is answered here rather than on a general page.
Is the Hisense A7N a QLED or Mini-LED TV?+
Neither — the A7N is an entry direct-lit LED TV without a quantum-dot QLED layer or local dimming. That is why its HDR looks flatter and its dark-room contrast is weaker than the U-series (U6N/U7N/U8N), which are QLED Mini-LED. It is a budget model, so that is the tier rather than a fault.
