My Sony A80L picture dims in bright scenes.+

That is the OLED Auto Brightness Limiter, normal on every OLED. When a large area is very bright the TV limits total panel power, so a big white window dims slightly. Turn off the light sensor and Eco/power-saving settings to remove the other automatic dimming; the ABL on full-screen brightness is intended and cannot be disabled.
